Frequently Asked (and Quietly Wondered) Questions

Coaching is about enhancing your well-being, fostering personal and professional growth, and helping you access the resources and ideas you already have to achieve your goals.
It’s not therapy we’re not diagnosing or dwelling on the past, and it’s not fluffy self-help. It’s a person-centred, evidence-based, solution-focused process.I believe you already have the potential and capability to create the change you want; my role is to help you unlock it using proven tools and techniques that build self-awareness, empathy, balance, relationships, meaning and productivity.

We start with a free introductory call to get a sense of what’s going on for you, what you’d like to change, and whether we’re the right fit.
From there, we meet one-to-one (usually online) for focused 50-minute sessions. Each session is a mix of reflective conversation, practical tools, and gentle but constructive challenge, all tailored to your needs and pace.
You won’t get my “advice” or one-size-fits-all answers; instead, I’ll help you uncover your best solutions. The ones that make sense for your life and are far more likely to stick. Between sessions, I’ll give you small, manageable experiments or reflections so you start to see changes straight away. Think of it as lighting sparks that grow into a steady fire, rather than chasing an overnight transformation. -
We talk. You think. I listen closely to what you say and sometimes to what you don’t. There is something magical about giving yourself the space to be heard.
I’ll ask questions that help you see yourself and your situation differently, reflect back patterns you may not have noticed, and sometimes challenge you (with your permission) to step beyond your comfort zone. We’ll use tools designed to help you find clarity, shift unhelpful habits, create new habits and make confident decisions — all in a way that feels doable in real life. -

Most sessions happen online so you can join from your kitchen table with a cup of tea, without adding another commute to your day.
If you’re nearby, in-person sessions may be possible, but most clients prefer the ease and flexibility of online coaching. -
You won’t be left to figure it out alone. I’m available on email or chat for short check-ins, reflections, or nudges between sessions, so support is ongoing - not just in the hour we meet.

You’ll leave with more clarity, stronger psychological resources, and practical tools you can keep using for years.
Some clients stay connected through the THRIIVE community for ongoing peer support; others book top-up sessions when they hit new transitions. Either way, the goal is that you feel equipped to keep moving forward without needing constant guidance. -
Yes. I’m an EMCC accredited Coach and Positive Psychology Practitioner with a Masters in Coaching Psychology and Positive Psychology with distinction. This has given me a strong background in evidence-based wellbeing, resilience, and behaviour-change methods.
I use a person-centred, solution-focused approach that draws on coaching psychology, meaning every tool we use is grounded in research and chosen to suit your needs.
I’ve worked with many of women navigating major life transitions - and I know that when your potential is realised, growth, learning, and new perspectives naturally follow.
